Safe & Respectful Learning.

Internet Safety

NVLA is committed to providing a safe, secure, and respectful learning environment for all students and employees at all school facilities, instructional settings, school grounds, and at school-sponsored activities. NVLA strives to address bullying and cyber bullying so that there is no disruption to the learning environment and process.

Bullying and Cyberbullying are Prohibited in Public Schools
No member of the Board of Trustees, employee of the school district, member of a club or organization which uses District facilities (regardless of whether the club or organization has any connection to NVLA), or any student shall engage in bullying or cyberbullying at any school facilities, buildings, on school grounds, or at school-sponsored activities.

Students should report any incident(s) of bullying and cyberbullying to a teacher, counselor, or school administrator.

Students, parents and faculty throughout Nevada now have access to SafeVoice, an anonymous reporting system used to report threats to the safety or well-being of students. SafeVoice was established by the Nevada Department of Education under SB 212 in 2017 to protect student wellness, prevent violence and save lives.

In partnership with the Nevada Department of Public Safety, the SafeVoice program provides students a safe place to submit tips concerning their own safety or that of others. A fully trained professional team of experts responds in an appropriate manner 24/7/365. Tips always stay anonymous.
