Course offerings and details for enrollment in the 2018 Summer Term.

Whether you’re trying to move ahead, recovering credit for a class or just curious, summer school is a great opportunity to discover the flexibility and benefits of online learning!

Summer 2018 Details

  • Registration is open from April 9 – June 1
  • CCSD students must register through their home school counselor
  • Non-CCSD students must register through the NVLA Registrar
  • Orientation starts online – June 1
  • One Session Only June 4 – July 12
  • CCSD Student Fee: $125 per one-half credit, no refunds
  • Non-CCSD Student Fee: $175 per one-half credit, no refunds
  • Online payments may be made with a credit/debit card until 11:59PM PDT on June 3
  • On-site payments can made at NVLA (no checks or money orders) until 3:30 PM on June 1
  • Registration will not be permitted once summer school begins
  • All classes are conducted online 24/7 through a computer based learning management system
  • Students are expected to have internet access, maintain pace of coursework, and communicate weekly with teacher
  • All coursework must be completed by 11:59pm PST on July 8
  • Final exams will be held on July 10-12

Please note:

  • S2 of Algebra I, Algebra II, and Geometry builds on concepts learned during S1. Taking both semesters during summer term for original credit may be challenging for students.
  • If a student is enrolled in two courses, BOTH courses begin June 4 and conclude July 12. All work must be submitted by July 8 and final exams are July 10-12.

Summer courses are all teacher-led.

Semester Exams

  • July 10 – English and World Language
  • July 11 – Math and Social Studies
  • July 12 – Science, PE, Health, Driver Ed, and Electives

Semester Exams may not be taken early.

End of Course (EOC) Exams

The NV Department of Education requires than an EOC Exam be administered as the final exam for Semester 2 of Algebra, Geometry/Geometry H, and English 10/English 10H (10% of the final grade). These exams are only available in paper-and-pencil format.  An exam site will be provided to take the final exam.
