How Does NVLA Work?
Nevada Learning Academy at CCSD is the largest and premier online school in Nevada. Our instruction is more than a little different than most traditional schools. Our high school students completed 100% of their coursework online so that students can work according to their schedules, anywhere, anytime via the Internet. We understand that our full-time middle school students need more support to transition toward becoming full-time online students in high school. That’s why full-time middle school students will participate in a face-to-face advisory class on the NVLA campus. These collaborative classes provide study skills and support specifically suited to assist your child on learning how to be a successful online student.
- Teachers are highly qualified, caring professionals
- Coursework is engaging, rigorous, and aligned to Nevada State Content Standards
- Grades and credits earned equivalent to a traditional brick-and-mortar school
Students will access their online “classroom” through a learning management system where they can find the information they need about their classes, individual progress, and school functions such as: activities, clubs, announcements, and more. Teachers are available via phone, text, email, live chat, and on the NVLA campus.
NVLA courses are free to full-time students who reside in Clark County, Nevada. Through affiliation agreements with other CCSD schools and throughout the state, courses are also available to part-time students on a tuition basis. We have streamlined our processes so that it is easy to express your interest in becoming a full-time student, get enrolled, and begin working with your teachers.
