NVLA growing enrollment

August 3rd, 2021

NVLA families,

My name is Michael Martin, and I am the principal of Nevada Learning Academy at CCSD (NVLA). I hope all of our incoming students are as excited about this upcoming school year as we are at NVLA! Our school has been growing enrollment dramatically each day since the beginning of July. In the past at NVLA, we accepted students through an application process in which students needed to meet certain criteria and requirements to enroll. However, beginning this school year, NVLA is no longer using an application process, and we are now open to all CCSD students. We are so excited to support our entire Clark County community!

During the 2020-2021 school year, NVLA had approximately 450 full-time students. As of today, August 3rd, we have accepted nearly 4,000 students full-time distance learning students to NVLA, and we continue to accept hundreds of new students daily. With that said, I am here to ask for our NVLA community’s grace and support as we work through the extraordinary daily enrollment requests. For many of our incoming families, we will be unable to process all of the requests by the start of school on August 9th. Please know that we do not have a waitlist, and we will continue to accept enrollment requests throughout this entire school year. However, we do ask for your patience and understanding if we are unable to have your students enrolled, and with schedules ready, by next Monday, August 9th. We are working extremely hard to work through over 2,500 new enrollment requests over the last 10 days. Again, we graciously ask for your continued support and understanding. We will get all students enrolled and with class schedules as quickly as possible, and we are very excited to have all of our new students join us.

Thank you all for visiting our website and we look forward to meeting all of our new students this school year.
