How does NVLA Work?

Nevada Learning Academy at CCSD is the largest and premier online school in Nevada. Our instruction is more than a little different than most traditional schools. Our high school students completed 100% of their coursework online so that students can work according to their schedules, anywhere, anytime via the Internet. We understand that our full-time middle school students need more support to transition toward becoming full-time online students in high school. That’s why full-time middle school students participate in two face-to-face instructional days per week on the NVLA campus. These collaborative classes provide study skills and support specifically suited to assist your child on learning how to be a successful online student.

Is NVLA right for you?

Online learning offers a unique opportunity to for you to take control of your education and schedule, allowing for flexibility on when and where you take a course. We recognize that each student has unique circumstances and different learning needs. That’s why we offer different course options. Making the decision to take an online course or become a full-time online student is a big commitment for both you and your child. It's important to help your child think about why they want to make this choice. Oftentimes, talking to the neighborhood school counselor or one of our NVLA counselors can be very helpful.
